The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering providers for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it is actually alarmed with regard to the significant amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office committed to service the area every day. The assistance stage established for intervention encounters a superior influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this sassa status check reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to enable the servicing of all consumers and improve access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
